A LITTLE GUIDANCE
CSV & TSV to Markdown Table Converter guide
Turn delimited text into a Markdown table for use in documents and editors.
How to use
- Paste comma-separated or tab-separated data.
- Choose the delimiter and whether the first row is a header.
- Review and copy the table, using up to 200 rows and 30 columns.
Worked example
- Input
- Enter Name,Score on the first CSV line and Alex,90 on the second, with the header option enabled.
- Result
- The result is a two-column Markdown table with Name and Score as headers and Alex and 90 in the first data row.
Common questions
Are spreadsheet formulas and cell formatting preserved?
No. The table uses the text values entered. It does not calculate formulas or preserve fonts, colors or merged cells.
What happens to pipes and line breaks inside cells?
They are converted for Markdown so they do not break the table structure. Check the preview in the editor where you will use the result.
