A LITTLE GUIDANCE
Electricity Usage & Simple Cost Calculator guide
Calculate energy use under a constant-power assumption, then multiply it by your chosen rate.
How to use
- Enter appliance power in watts.
- Enter hours per day, number of days and your rate per kWh.
- Review total energy use and the cost at the entered rate.
Worked example
- Input
- Run a 1,000 W appliance for 2 hours a day over 30 days at 200 KRW per kWh.
- Result
- Energy use is 60 kWh and the simple calculated cost is 12,000 KRW.
Common questions
Does this predict the complete electricity bill?
No. It calculates usage multiplied by the entered rate. Base charges, progressive tariffs, taxes and other charges are excluded.
Do appliances always draw their rated power?
Actual power can vary with operating conditions. This calculator assumes constant power; a measured average can better match your use.
