A LITTLE GUIDANCE

Text Diff Checker — Compare Two Texts guide

Review revisions by highlighting the lines that differ between two texts.

How to use

  1. Enter the original text and the revised text.
  2. Inspect the colors and counts for added and removed lines.
  3. Copy the change summary if you need to share it.

Worked example

Input
The original contains A then B on separate lines; the revised text contains A then C.
Result
A is unchanged, B is one removed line and C is one added line.

Common questions

Does changing one character mark the entire line as changed?

Yes. Comparison is line-based, so a modified line appears as a removal and an addition.

Do spaces matter, and how much text can I compare?

Whitespace differences count as changes. Each input supports up to 500 lines.
