A LITTLE GUIDANCE

JSON Formatter & Validator guide

Make structured JSON easier to read or remove formatting whitespace.

How to use

  1. Type or paste JSON data.
  2. Choose two spaces, four spaces or compact output.
  3. Check any syntax error and copy the valid formatted result.

Worked example

Input
Enter { "a": 1, "b": [2, 3] } and choose compact output.
Result
The output is {"a":1,"b":[2,3]}.

Common questions

Are comments and trailing commas accepted?

No. Standard JSON syntax is used, so comments and trailing commas in objects or arrays are errors.

Will very large numeric IDs stay exact?

Numbers use JavaScript numeric precision. Enter large integer identifiers as quoted strings when every digit must be preserved.
